Yesterday was just like any other day except it was my birthday, which since I have gotten older just isn't as exciting as when I was a kid, but that is okay. Jon took me out to eat at Chili's the night before, and we celebrated with a Chocolate Molten Cake! Oh Yeah!! Jon also took me to see the new Indiana Jones movie which was so awesome! (Tyson, you have to see it!) The acting was so good and it was just so entertaining to watch. My little sis, JaNae watched my kids, (thanks Nae!) so it was so nice for me and Jon to go out on a real date.
I can't believe how old I have gotten all of a sudden. I feel like I am 21 but I am much older than that. In fact, I couldn't remember how old I was the other day. I had to remember what year I was born and then figure it out from there. That is a bad sign. Do any of you remember when you were a kid looking at people in there late 20's and thinking they are so old and wise? I've come to realize that I don't feel as old as I really am and I am not as wise as I'd like to be. I now look at 30 year olds and think they are so old and wise (yes, even you Janz!) And I am sure I'll think that when I am a 70 year old looking at 80 year olds.
I am so grateful, at least that I have accomplished some of the greatest things in my 20's. I graduated from college, got married to a wonderful man and had two beautiful children and bought our first home. I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next 27 years, although I'm sure it will come faster than I want it to.
