The time has finally arrived! Hunter is officially a kindergartener, and although I got a little teary eyed as he walked into his school the first day, I am so excited for him to begin this adventure of learning new things, and I'm especially excited for him to learn how to read all those books he skims through at night before he falls asleep.

His teacher is super nice and full of energy. He also has a couple of friends already in his class.
This was Hunter yesterday on his official first day. He was very excited! When I asked what he was most excited about, he said, "playing on the park" (the playground) at the school!
We try to walk/ride bikes in the morning since Hunter loves to ride his bike and mommy could use the exercise. So that's what we did yesterday. And amazingly I've been able to get him there on time two days in a row which if you know me, that is really amazing:)
Lining up to go into the school. You can see the anxiety on one of the mom's faces. This was a moment I realized, "this is it"- this is the rest of my life at least until my kids are done with high school- good thing that I love it!
I was surprised that Jaina kept asking when Hunter would be home, at times they seem like sworn enemies-
(I still remember the time Jaina went out with Jon, and Hunter was so sad he had to stay home. As she and Jon were driving off, Jon looked in the rear view mirror as Jaina said with a smile on her face, "Hunto will be sad, fo-effo! (forever)
While Hunter was away, we found slugs- which are Jaina's new favorite bug.
Hunter lining up again to be sent home. About two seconds after this picture, Hunter had a slight melt down- it's a long story:)
and finally, since we need to be reading to Hunter more than we have, Jon thought it'd be fun to start reading Spiderwick to him. I love that Jon loves to share this time with Hunter.
