...A River Runs Through It

The other day, Jon told me he didn't know why he hadn't taken Hunter fishing yet since it is one of his favorite things to do. So we headed to good ole Walmart and picked out a cool Lightning McQueen fishing pole, a shiny new lure, and a fishing license. We went home that night and Jon taught Hunter how to cast the line out onto the lawn. Hunter practiced for probably a good hour and got it down pat.
The next day we went to Farmington pond and put Hunter's skills to the test. We were not quite ready for him to have a hook on the end of his pole, but a fun rubber mini tire was good enough for him to cast out.
It is so fun teaching our kids new things, especially when they take a liking to it! Jaina wanted to fish, too...luckily they make Barbie fishing poles!
