Ever heard of a lawn mower?

So I woke up this morning to music to my ears, okay not literally, but I looked out my window and my neighbors back lawn was being mowed for the first time since we moved here 1 and 1/2 years ago. Salt Lake County is now enforcing home owners to take care of there yards and "someone" turned in our neighbors, mainly because it looks bad, but also because it was a huge fire hazard. You can see the wonderful view I've had from my kitchen window each summer. In spring it almost resembles a mountain side with wild flowers and long green grass and then by July it looks like this. This is one of the best days living in this house.

I love summer days!

We've spent alot of time outdoors this weekend and it was much needed. We pulled weeds in our yard, mowed the lawn and the kids played and splashed in their pool. I love summer days! I bought Hunter a new smim suit for a steal
and he wanted nothing to do with it. He loves his diaper and has a hard time parting with it, but he still has a great time playing in the water and pretending to be an alligator. Jaina loved splashing her feet in the pool and climbing in and out of it.

Happy 4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of July weekend. We had a barbeque at Jon's parents and the kids got to play in there fun backyard. They especially loved the chickens! We loved being able to see Jon's parents.

We then went to my parents and visited for awhile while my mom was winning our kids over with icecream sandwiches and cookies. They made a fun tent out of blankets and we enjoyed talking to mom and dad.

Afterwards we headed to the Brigham fireworks and sat with Tyson and Cami and their adorable girls. Hunter really liked the fireworks and Jaina was pretty scared ar first, but as long as we were holding her, she was okay. I am truly grateful to live in America. I am so blessed to have a good family on both sides, a wonderful husband, my beautiful children and even though we aren't stinkin' rich, I am so happy and grateful for all I have.
