Our Week

Alot of things have happened this past week. Jaina learned how to crawl, which is really exciting. She loves her new found freedom! and Hunter learned how to open doors. It was really funny for the first few days that he started opening doors because he would not stay in his room for bedtime. He probably came out of his room about 10 times that first night. But after alot of patience with putting him back in his bed (a Super nanny trick), he hopefully will stay in his room now. I felt really bad one time I put him down for a nap because he came downstairs and said "Hi Mommy!" and I said, " Hunter, you need to go to bed" really nicely and he turned around and cried all the way to his room. (He has very tender feelings.) He also got a horrible black eye when he slipped on the stairs and rammed his eye onto the edge. It is looking alot better, but we got alot of looks and comments at the store. This past week Jon and I also decided we were ready to move. We have thought about this over several months and we finally feel good about moving now. We were really considering moving to Logan, because we loved it up there during our first 2 years of marriage, but Jon has a great job here in Salt Lake. We really have loved our ward and our home, but overall, where we live is not where we want to raise our family and we knew from the beginning that we wouldn't stay here long. We just feel that now is the time to move to the area we plan on staying for a long time. We drove around South Salt Lake county and Utah county and we really loved Herriman and Riverton area. I never imagined we'd raise our family in Salt Lake since I grew up in Brigham City and Jon grew up in Bear River, but some areas are actually really nice. It is just very stressful going throught the whole process of moving and finding an apartment, etc. Hopefully I survive the next few months. Jon and Hunter fixed up a few things in the house on Saturday and plan on finishing the rest sometime soon so we can put our home on the market. On Saturday, while checking out Utah county, we stopped by Cabelas, one of Jon's favorite stores, and then headed over to Tony and Mary's to have dinner and a fun game of cards. Hunter and Maddie had a bath together and we got plenty of pictures for black mail and then they sat together and watched Cars. They were pretty cute together.
