As many of you know, we have had our home up for sale for the past few months, but Jon and I have decided we are going to pull it off the market and try to sell when the market picks up again maybe in a year or two. This has been such a back and forth decision, but we both felt like this was the best thing for us to do right now. We have put so much work into our house and even got new carpet last week, so it would be a shame to just move after living here just over a year. Despite what reputation our city has, it actually isn't all that bad, (although I don't want my children attening school here) Our home has been a good starter home, and we are lucky to have friendly, quiet neighbors and for the most part, I feel safe in our neighborhood. It has been fun to see our children grow in our home and it has been fun to see the outcome of all the improvements we've made here. We have so many good people in our ward and I have made alot of good friends. Jon and I don't like that we live far from family and we wish we could just settle down in an area we know we may stay for at least 10 years, but we are going to make the best of this little town and enjoy it while it lasts. I know one day we'll look back and be grateful for the things we learned while living here. It has been such an eye opener to live in a place that is so different than little Brigham City. In our ward, we really rely on each other to do our callings because it is such a small ward, but of what leadership we have, they are awesome. Jon and I are getting use to the fact that some people just don't care what there yards look like, which doesn't make our evening walks all that enjoyable, but at least there haven't been any major drug busts near our home. Jon and I hope we are making good decisions for our little family. Sometimes I wish we had it all, but it is good for us to struggle a little so we appreciate when we eventually get to the point in our lives that we feel we've accomplished something.

You guys are awesome, Mandi! I remind myself of George Bailey: always dreaming of leaving li'l old Brigham, but something always comes up. Instead, living in your parent's ward and the ward you grew up in is always a good idea (read sarcasm here). Someday, when you are living on that farm, you will look back to the city life...and you won't miss a thing.
I wish I had some great advice that would make you feel awesome, but all I can say is hang in there. We feel the same way. You are an incredible person and there may be a greater purpose for you to be in Magna. Love Ya Jessie
I love your positive attitude. It always works out in the end and it sounds like you will have so many good memories of your first home and neighborhood.
Hey, Thanks for your comments on my blog. It was so nice to see you guys again, too, and your adorable kids! They are so sweet and cute! I wish I could take you all home with me =). There is still the offer at my parent's house...(hint hint) =) You can have a lot of nice strolls there with great scenery. I'm sure you will do what you are inspired to do. It I had it my way all my relatives would move out to Omaha =). Hey, it could happen!PSHAW.
Well I'm sorry things aren't working out exactly as you had hoped...sheesh. At least you've got good neighbors and a good ward; that helps.
-I had almost forgotten our trips to Smiths after work. Typically we'd get Sobe's right? Ah, good times...
Mandi, you are awesome and I love your positive outlook on everything. There's a reason why you're meant to be there now, and though you might not enjoy your huge calling, I'm sure you are making a difference. I love ya!
We missed you last weekend. I was so bummed when I heard. We will get together again though. You are just such a sweet girl. I have always looked up to you, and I am so happy we grew up together. I think you are just amazing...
Moving and not moving is such a stressful time. I hope everything works out for the two of you.
I really think you have the perfect life! Seriously, every time I see you I just wonder how you seem to just have it all-the most dalring family, the cutest home, and of course, you're a gorgeous mom! I know everything will work out for you guys because you are just so good. I also think it's so awesome that you and JaNae got out of Brigham and have a life all your own. It's what I always wanted to do but I'm really happy to be where we are. Anywhere is home as long as you have each other! Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow!
