I've been so bad with blogging lately. Two Saturdays ago, Jaina celebrated her first birthday! I can't believe my baby is one now. It seriously feels like I just had her a month ago. Time flies way too fast. We celebrated with cake and icecream, which she didn't go crazy over, which is really surprising because she loves food. Grandma and Grandpa Pearson spent the night before her birthday and we went out to eat at El Habanero. We had so much fun! On her birthday, Grandma and Grandpa Packer took us and Janae's family out to eat at our favorite hamburger place, Atlantis Burger, and then got ice cream at Nielson's Custard.
I still remember very clearly the day that Jaina was born. I thought it would be fun for her to be born on my dad's birthday, so I planned on being induced on the 24th of May. I actually woke up early that morning with contractions, so she was already planning on coming that day anyway. We got to the hospital around 7am. Dr. Hughes broke my water at 9 am and she came so fast (9:28 am) that I didn't even get the chance to have an epidural. Ouch! But it wasn't all that bad giving birth naturally. The first thing I noticed when she was born were her big lips and her round little face. I automatically fell in love with her!
Jaina is such a joy in our family! She brightens each and every day with her big smile and bright blue eyes! She is almost always in a happy mood (as long is she is fed) and loves to play hide and seek and climb the stairs in our home. She is Hunter's little shadow and will follow him all over the house. She is just starting to stand on her own for a few seconds. She is very strong and definitely has a mind of her own. She loves people and warms up really fast to strangers. I am so grateful for my children. They help put things into perspective for me. We love our little Jee-Jee! Happy Late Birthday Jeej!

I hear they grow up way too fast and then their teenagers. Jaina is such a cutie! I love the pic of her with grandma Jill and Jaina's got her tongue out.
Mandi, Jee Jee is so adorable, I love that little girl too! I love that cake, you did such a fantastic job (I wish we could have been there!) So - you're sure you don't want to go through labor again??!! Love you and those adorable kids!
My little Jaina is getting so big! She is so beautiful! I still can't believe she is one already! Time just goes by way too fast. We need to plan to get together soon! Talk to ya later!
Seeing your hospital pictures just makes me jealous that I did not get to be a part of the new born experience, but if you are going to have JaNae's baby for her then I will be a part of that. I think Jaina is pretty cute and I agree she does warm up to people real easy. What a cutie.
she is darling! i love your pictures and way to go on the cake-it looks delish!

I love Jaina's cake! She really is so beautiful and I can't believe how fast she is growing! I also love the pictures of her as a newborn-it makes me even more baby hungry! It is just so amazing. Give little Jee-Jee a hug for me!
Jaina is so adorable, it is weird not to be around you and see our kids grow up because they seem to grow faster when we don't see them everyday. I loved when we hung out with our babes in Logan. Anyway, we miss you guys and are sad that we miss Jaina's B-day.
