Great Grandma Pearson
She is one of the most gracious and kind persons I know. She always has a twinkle in her pretty blue eyes and a smile on her face. My favorite memories of her were when we lived in the same city, and could visit her more often. She invited us over to make homemade pizza, she gave me a quick lesson on how to play the organ and then wrote me up a 6 page instructions on how to play, we'd go visit on Sundays with our little Hunter who wasn't quite one. He would play with the wooden blocks in the fabric bag that Jon played with when he was little while we'd watch old movies. And one summer, she let us have free reign on her raspberry bushes. mmmm!
As time has passed, though, she has had to move from her lovely little home, into a rest home and her memory is not quite the same, but we still love to visit her in her comfy little room decorated just like her old home, organ and all.
a walk to the South Jordan temple which is right next door to her rest home.
without Great Grandma Pearson and Jon's mom, of coarse, I wouldn't have this wonderful guy, so that is why I am especially grateful for them!
Myself
I guess I am a mother in my life, too, and boy do I love it! '
I am grateful for my children and for the little things in my life, like watching my kids play in the little pool outside... what they are currently doing, or reading them our favorite stories, or hearing them laugh as they play together upstairs, oh the silly things they say! And I especially love the 'I love you's' out of the blue or when they find me a little flower in our grass.
They make life HAPPY. My life may not be perfect and I may not have everything I want, but I have everything I need, and that is something to be happy about.
Mother's Day was simple and perfect this year. Breakfast in bed, time spent with family, and homemade cards. When Jon told Grey to get his card that he had made me, he ran to his room a grabbed a face card that was lying on his floor and came running to give it to me. I love those kind of cards, too!
My mom
Their is no one like your own mother, and their is no one like my mother. She is easy to talk to, fun to be around, a person to get good advice from, a friend, a hard worker, and she would do anything for you.
Jon's mom
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mother in law! She is fun to be around, non judgmental, funny, sweet to everyone, super creative and very generous. She is the one that first introduced me to the vintage style, which I am so thankful!
Happy Mother's Day!
