Easter Weekend 2011

I love Easter time! You can feel the warmth of Summer sneaking around the corner, my favorite flowers begin to pop out of the ground, and as you drive past pastures, you can see adorable new born calves and colts hug close to there mamas.

This year Easter seemed a little more
special.
As our kids grow older, Jon and I are finding that not only is it important they learn their ABC's and what their address is, but
why they are here on Earth,
who their Savior is
and why he is important to their lives.
We've had fun teaching them about the true meaning of Easter, mixed in with all the fun stuff, too!

We have really loved the city we live in. It has that small town feel with wide open spaces and cute farmhouses and of coarse,
the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the main park!
The kids really liked it, even though there were a billion little kids there and Jaina only got 2 or 3 Easter eggs. She did win that cute little walrus in her arms, though, and now she really likes them!

Early morning on Easter before "the Easter bunny could leave his trail", Hunter woke up with his first fever since he was a baby. He wasn't felling well at all. But when he came out of his room and saw this...

he all of a sudden felt so much better:)

The Easter Bunny knows that the Dollar Tree carries the best Easter gifts:)

I never got pictures of the kids in their Sunday bests, because Hunter came home from Sacrament meeting not feeling well again and I completely forgot, but the rest of the day we played old school Nintendo, that my sister is letting us borrow...

and snuggled to AFV and Extreme Home Makeover. It was a nice Easter!
