Summertime Summertime-Sum-Sum-Summertime!!

I really love Summertime. It's a time to soak up the sun, have fun vacations with the family, and live up those lazy days. Our's has also involved hamburgers hot off the grill, homemade icecream, evening strolls after dinner, and chasing the killdeer that live in the big ditch next to our home.

Ours also involved a run to the emergency room to stitch this little guys hand back together.
A distraught mom, a funny old doctor, a needle and thread and 7 stitches later, our sweet baby was all better (I secretly was a little sad to take off his cute little bandage).

For Pioneer week, we did a lot of fun things like...
make our very own stick horses out of PVC pipe a hole-y sock and some felt and yarn.
ate lots of this stuff...

made a fort out of Lincoln logs...

and then had our 2nd annual Pearson Family reunion where we...
went to a fun horse stable to ride...
the most adorable miniature horse...
and played with our cousins...

and then spent some time at the cutest little small town carnival in good ole Bear River.
Jon and I have been spending several hours figuring our landscaping for our yard and the kids have been spending their time making dirt angels and...
playing Superheros and many other creative things like watching TV, saying I'm bored at least a couple times a day, and riding their bikes in the hot sun for 2 minutes before coming back inside.
Summer is great!

Wow, you guys have had the funnest summer! I have to agree, Grey's little bandage is pretty darn cute. And Hunter and Jaina...I just want to give them both huge hugs! They are all three so darling (but I wouldn't expect anything less as their mother's children). I love all the fun things you do with them. You are an amazing mom and example. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever! Hope to see you soon! :) Love ya

What a great summer you are having! I love the simplicity of it all. The ice cream, the walks after dinner, the barbecue. Yum. You know we really need to do one of those together to complete the summer :)
Poor Grey, but the bandage really does look great!
I love all the pictures and the moments you catched! Hope to see you soon, maybe this weekend!
