Tomorrow we celebrate this little guys first birthday! Life with Grey is, what can I say... absolutely wonderful! I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. I remember thinking, before he was born, how can I love another child as much as I love Hunter and Jaina?, but somehow I was given the capacity to not only love 3 beautiful children more than life itself, but was also given more energy, confidence, patience, (okay, maybe not all the time) and more encouragement from the amazing family and friends I have... and that really helped!
3 months
In the beginning, Grey used to scream like a raptor, yeah that's right... just like the raptors on Jurassic park. Thankfully he outgrew that! Now he just screams normally. It seems like he has a screaming alarm that goes off every time Hunter or Jaina come near him:)

My favorite feature of Grey's are his beautiful sea blue eyes. His lips are a real close second.

Hunter and Jaina really love this little guy. I was reading in my journal some of the funny things they have said and came across these:
Hunter says to Jaina because she is being mean to Grey, "He's still a baby, he's going to grow up and punch you if you do that!"
I asked Hunter to go check on Grey, who was crying. When he came back he said that Grey looked at him and said, "Yes, I am still crying."
One day, when Grey was 10 months old, I was busy doing something in the kitchen and he had climbed halfway up the stairs. All of a sudden I heard him screaming and as I bolted to the stairs I saw him with his head turned around and terrified of how high up he was. It was kind of cute...
Then there was the time that he actually fell down the stairs. After hearing that sickening series of thuds, I flew down the stairs to comfort more poor crying baby, and feeling pretty guilty, I turn around and there is Jaina at the top of the stairs, just sitting there like she didn't just witness her baby brother thump down a flight of stairs. Now I'm starting to wonder if he had help down those stairs...
I love Grey's laugh. It is very hearty and you just can't help but laugh along with him!

Happy first Birthday Grey! I can't believe he's one! I loved reading about your sweet baby boy and how much you love him. You are such a wonderful mother and friend. I love learning from you, from fashion to parenting to budgeting. :) I hope Grey and his beautiful mommy both have the best birthdays tomorrow!
