Today is my Mom's Birthday! I have such a wonderful mom! She has taught me so much in my life like:
*How to cook delicious meals and make them well balanced
*The secret to delicious cookies, brownies and cake... (real butter)
*How to properly Spring clean
*How to work hard
*If you do something, give it your all
*How to ride a horse, and to get back on when you fall off.
*how to get your hands dirty and turn around to be super classy
...and soooo much more!
There is one thing I really appreciated about my mom growing up. My Junior year in high school was a tough year for me to make friends, I was really shy and just didn't know how to come out of my comfort zone. My mom just happened to be a teacher where I went to high school and I would go up to her room everyday for lunch. She never told me that I needed to go eat with kids my own age, but was always happy to see me. I loved eating lunch with her. We went just about every day to the Taco Time drive thru to get a soft taco. I am so glad that my mom accepted me the way I was. She taught me that if I wanted to have friends, I needed to be a friend... that has stuck with me since then.
Thank you mom for being such a great mom and friend! I love you!

What a sweet post! She really is wonderful. My friend asked me the other day what my mother in law was like, and I had to tell her (without bragging) that she is the best. She listens, understands, and never judges even when we make mistakes. I've learned so much from her (most importantly...how to make ham loaf:). I really hope I will be the kind of mother in law and grandma that she is. And of course, her kids are awesome. :)

Emery and I were looking at everyone's sites and when we came across grandma she screamed "grandma! We sing her Happy Birthday?!"
That is all so very true! Happy birthday to the most wonderful mother! I was totally going to post as well, but the time just got away from me this week...I guess it's never too late!
Okay, so the heimlich on Hunter, you didn't tell me, now I am going to have to call and hear what in the world happened.
By the way, yeah, you totally inherited mom's good looks...I got Dad's!! :( just kidding dad!
